Birthday Wishlist For the Home

A week from today is my 31st birthday so I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite things that I’m wishing and hoping the birthday fairy will bring my way! 🙂  The more I get wrapped up in this world of blogging and home ownership the more my wants and wishes have changed.  I don’t always want to buy things for me anymore…I want to buy things for my home!  I love watching my house transform into a home, but sometimes it just can’t happen soon enough.  There are so many decorative items I want for my home that we just can’t go buy all at once!  Thankfully, that’s what birthdays are for!

This week’s Friday Favorite is all about my birthday wishlist for the home!

1. Maskros Pendant Lamp – IKEA

I have been wanting this for SOO long to put in Lucy’s playroom.  It’s from IKEA so it’s not that expensive but I just haven’t been able to get around to going out and buying it!

2. Ghost Chair

I have been wanting one of these for so long!  I think it would be so fun to use as a desk chair in my office!

3. Tufted Wingback Headboard (oh and a King bed while you’re at it!)

4.  Ribba Frame in White – IKEA

I already own 3 of these and want to do a huge statement wall and I think 3 more would be beautiful!  They are huge frames that fit a 12×12 photo inside!

5. Acrylic Serving Tray

I must be into acrylic but this tray could be so versatile and great for children too!  (Not so breakable!)

As I was creating this list it was actually really hard because I don’t like to buy things brand new!  I decided to stop my list at 5 items.  I’ve been trying to find new nightstands for the guest room but I just can’t find any I like well enough that I want to buy.  I then got sidetracked and started looking for used ones on craigslist that I could redo.  Refashioning furniture is what I love!  Of course I like to own new things but I really love making something my own.  I get excited to create furniture!  The items above I would love to add to my home and hopefully I’ll get one or two of them for my birthday….Mom are you reading this?!  😉  I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!  I’m excited to spend it with my family and attend an old friend’s wedding!
