Paul’s Birthday – Preparing for Spring & Summer Gifts
Last week it was my husband’s birthday and I always find it hard to buy gifts for him. He’s a very practical man so I like to get him something I know that he will use. He loves to be outside and he loves to cook so I thought I’d compile a list of gifts for him all geared towards getting ready for Spring and Summer! There are so many choices to choose from so I had a hard time but you can also take a look at other gifts for men here.
Many of our closest friends in MN are our neighbors which makes social life very convenient for us! That being said most weekend evenings we are with our neighbors at each other’s houses. I’m not much of a beer drinker but my husband is and we are always bringing over some beverages to share. This little cooler tote is perfect to keep it cold and easy to cary.
My poor husband loves spicy food where I do not….at all. He’s very good at cooking things with mild spice and then adding his own if he wants a little kick. My brother has done some make your own hot sauce and my husband loved it so I thought I’d let him give it a try!
My husband is an amazing cook and to add to that he’s amazing at the grill. He can cook a mean steak. I swear he goes through grill brushes so quickly and I loved the idea of a bristle free brush. It will last longer and clean better!
In the summer time we love to have bon fires and roast marshmallows. I remember as a kid making grilled cheese and pizza sandwiches in one of these. I would love for our children to have those same memories.
What another great item to add to our bon fire list! Like I said we love to make s’mores and now we can make multiple at a time!
Just as often as we go to our neighbors, they come to our house! We have a pretty big house but storage is always limited. I thought my husband would love this collapsible beverage bin so we can keep our drinks cold and then when we are done store it easily.
We always have yard games going on in our house with friends. I love this large yard dice and thought it would be a fun game for my husband and family!

Last but not least I wanted to let my husband know how much he means to me and our daughters. In these cute little books it has little says like I love you when…and then you get to fill in the blank. I had my daughter, who is 3, fill in a few of the blanks and it was adorable. I put her age along with her name. I split it in half so my youngest daughter, who is only 4 months old can fill in the blank when she gets older. I’ll have them answer a few questions every year so he has something he can treasure for a lifetime.
