Monthly Check-In - www.ruthietabone.comWow, I can’t believe it’s already April!  I’m so glad that the weather is warming up and summer is on its way!  At the beginning of March ,I shared how I want to get myself and my family healthy.  I want to get healthy inside and out.  You can see my post here.  I wanted to give you a little update on how that is all going.  I also thought it would be fun to share with you a little bit about my family each month and what’s going on on the blog!

Family

My older daughter Lucy went on vacation with my Sister and Mom over Spring Break to the Black Hills.  My younger daughter Gabi and I were planning to go along but we’ve quickly learned that Gabi hates the car.  So I dropped Lucy off at my Mom’s and she went on “the best vacation ever!” in her words!  I’m so bummed I couldn’t experience it with her but I’m glad she was able to still go and be with her cousins.  It was also nice to have some one on one time with Gabi! 🙂  (Any advice on car tricks I’ll gladly take!)Monthly Check-In - www.ruthietabone.com        Also this month Gabi turned 4 months!  She is getting quite the personality and we are loving every single day we have gotten to spend with her!Monthly Check-In - www.ruthietabone.com

Weight Watchers

Well, this month hasn’t been as great as I had hoped for.  I tried to get motivated but I was simply so hungry with nursing it was hard to eat less.  I did start playing a weight loss game along with some friends and it totally has me motivated now!  I unfortunately gained some weight this month but I’ve pretty much lost it again doing this game so far.  It’s called Game On Diet.  To explain it quickly – you get points for following their diet plan, sleeping 7+ hours, exercising, drinking 3 liters of water, communicating with team mates and making a new good habit and getting rid of a bad habit.  You can purchase the full book here if you want to play it with some of your friends.  The only change we made is that we follow Weight Watchers instead of the diet within the book.  If we don’t stay within our WW points that day we don’t get any food points.  The team with the most points at the end of the 4 weeks wins!  We also all gave $20 so the winning team gets the winnings at the end of the game!  I’m now feeling very motivated to eat healthy and get myself healthy!  I’m hoping to lose 10lbs each month until I get to my wedding weight in July!  I just purchased a jogging double stroller so I can take my girls on walks in the afternoon and maybe try that thing called running again!

March Post Round Up

I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things and try to manage my time between teaching music lessons, blogging and raising two girls….all while trying to keep our house clean.  I had a little bit of a smaller month in posts than I had hoped but you know what?  Life just gets in the way sometimes.  I shared with you some St. Patrick’s Day Decor, my Play Date Packing List, my husband’s birthday, and I shared a post over at HomeRight too!  Next month you’ll be seeing a little bit more of me! 🙂

A Look into April

Right now I’m gearing up for the One Room Challenge!  I’m so excited because I will be transforming my older daughter, Lucy’s room.  This past Fall I did my baby girl’s nursery. I’ve also done my guest room and main bathroom.  I also am going to share with you a few of my favorite baby products so keep an eye out for those posts.  Something else I’m super excited about is that I just got a Cricut Explore Air 2!!  I can’t wait to start making things with it and sharing it with you!

P.S.

I have been loving using my essential oils and they have really helped keep me healthy!  I’ve felt a cold come on a couple times now the past couple weeks.  I went and got my doTERRA On Guard roller and my Lemon roller and my symptoms went away!  Love it!

MEET RUTHIE

mother holding baby in the air and going for a kiss

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
