A Day in the Life

I’m teaming up with some of my favorite blogging buddies again this week in our Behind the Blogger Series.  Jessica from Domicile 37 gathered a few of us bloggers to join in on a monthly series all about the blogger.  Today’s focus was all about a day in the life of the blogger.  I have already constructed a similar post to this so I didn’t want to bore you with repetitive information.  My last post in this series was all about My Musical Life.

A Day in the Life - www.ruthietabone.comTo add a little to my day in the life I spend a lot of the “mommy time” blogging or working on projects.  I’m feeling like I need to get a million projects done before the cold weather arrives.  My family and music are the number ones in my life but I’m loving working on my blog more every day.  I love the behind the scenes work as well as creating the projects.  I have always been “creative” when it comes to working on the house but the blog really challenges me and my abilities.  Plus it gives me a little bit more of schedule to follow. When working on projects in the past I could take my pretty time but with the blog, I feel more pressure (pressure in a good way) to complete things in a more timely fashion.

I love having a blog but I feel that having a DIY blog creates a lot of extra work.  Unfortunately, you can’t have others do your projects for you and then blog about it. 😉  Maybe someday you can if you get super famous blogging, but for now, I’ll just enjoy every minute of it!

Head on over to these other talented bloggers and see how their typical day is constructed.  We love what we do while we have full-time jobs, watch our children and try to keep our houses in order.  It’s a lot of work but I think I can say for all of us “we wouldn’t want it any other way!”

  1. Ruthie I still haven’t finished the Building a Framework notebook, but have finished the book. Thanks for suggesting that a while ago. As for your day, I completely agree that a DIY blog is soo much more work. Thinking of a new, never seen, project on a constant basis then executing it and photographing it, then writing the post, then promoting the post its so much work! So glad that you do that work. You have a style of your own and love seeing you execute your own projects. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks Stephanie! I do love seeing my projects and decor come to life through the blog! I love being able to share it with everyone!
