Easter Bunny Banner

Last year we hosted Easter at our house and I wanted to do a few things to make the house festive.  We were still living in our rented townhome and lots of things were still packed away.  I didn’t have too many Easter decorations so I thought that I would make some of my own.  I had seen some banners on Etsy that I absolutely loved but I knew that I could make it myself!

Materials:

1. Cardstock Paper
2. Scrapbook Paper
3. Rubber Cement or Decoupage
4. Twine
5. Hole Punch
6. Hot Glue Gun
7. Flowers or other item to use as tails

Before I begin I want to apologize for the lack of pictures as I did this last Easter way before the blog was even an idea.  I wanted to make my own Easter Bunny Banner.  I found a bunny template online similar to this one and printed it out onto cardstock paper and cut it out.  I then traced the bunny template onto scrapbook paper that I purchased at Michaels.  I wanted the scrapbook paper to be a little more sturdy so I glued it onto a cardstock template.  After they were glued together I put a heavy book on top just to ensure that it wouldn’t warp.

After all of the bunnies were dry I used a hole punch to punch holes into each ear so that I could hang them up with twine.  I purchased these adorable little flowers at Michaels in their dollar bin and decided to use them as the tails.  I used a hot glue gun to glue the “tails” on. 🙂

I loved how it all came together and I got many comments from our friends and family members that attended our Easter celebration.

I also made a few new recipes for the Holiday that I wanted to share with you.  I love deviled eggs but my sister is not a huge fan of mayo or mustard and I’ve always wanted to try this Avocado Deviled Eggs recipe.  It was pretty darn amazing and I highly recommend these if you aren’t a fan of the traditional deviled eggs.

I also wanted to make cupcakes and I thought this design with M&Ms were adorable.

Well the cupcakes were super tasty and they did look adorable….for awhile.  But a little advice…don’t put the M&Ms on until right before serving them.  Haha I learned my lesson. 🙂

I’m going to leave you with an adorable picture of my daughter last Easter. This year we are heading to my parents for Easter and I’m having so much fun seeing the Holidays through my daughter’s eyes.  It makes the Holidays so much more fun!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter Holiday!  Any recipes recommendations I should make for Easter this year?
