Friday Favorite: DIY Mother’s Day Gifts
We are coming up on Mother’s Day this weekend and I’m anxious to spend it with my husband and daughter. I’m not going to lie it’s nice to have a day celebrating you, celebrating moms, because being a mom is hard work! I love being a mom but it’s not always a walk in the park. I don’t want to complain though because I’m very blessed that Lucy is a well behaved and happy little girl. She’s pretty special and I’m lucky to be her Mama!
I wanted to share some of my favorite DIY Mother’s Day gifts with ya’ll. I mean besides the obvious of a massage, mani/pedi coupon or even jewelry there is just something special about a handmade gift. I can’t wait until Lucy gets older and actually can make me a picture or card for Mother’s Day. That’s going to be really special!
Here are a few things that I found to be fun and creative and a sure fire way to a Mom’s heart!
Friday Favorite: DIY Mother’s Day Gifts
Any mom would love to be served breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day and to make it better a sweet message comes with it! Love this!
2. Mommy Frame
I did something similar to this for my husband for Valentines Day last year. Lucy was so little and all she wanted to do was suck on the letters. It becomes a great memory and fun way to look back and remember how your child’s personality was at that specific age.
I love this idea and to have them fill it out each year and keep it as a keepsake is amazing! It would be so hilarious to look through it with your child when they were grown and laugh at their responses. Children are so honest and what a great way to tell your Mama you love her. This is great for the kids also to do for Grandma!
If I could have pictures of my family all over my house and no art I probably would. Although that may be a little obsessive. 🙂 I love my family so much and I love walking through a room and seeing a picture from a special time or moment. What better way to add more photos in your house than on coasters!
I have always wanted to make a silhouette of Lucy and hang it in my home. I think it’s a classic piece and any mom would love a beautiful silhouette in a beautiful frame to hang in their home! I love how these silhouettes aren’t your typical black ones but have a decorate flare to them!
I mean come on! How sweet is this book! Any mom would treasure this forever!
I hope all you Mom’s have a fabulous Mother’s Day! Thank you Mom for teaching me how to be a great mom. I hope to someday be best friends with Lucy like I am with you!
I want to leave you with this quote because they grow up too fast. I know Lucy is still pretty little but I still can’t believe she is almost 2. It feels like yesterday that we were in the delivery room. She girl melts my heart.

Great ideas! I love the tray. I did a questionnaire for Father’s Day one year and the responses kids give are so cute (and hilarious!). Thanks for sharing these ideas!
