One Room Challenge Week 4 – Nursery

One Room Challenge Week 4 Nursery Progress - www.ruthietabone.com

Well, here I am writing my second post for the One Room Challenge in one day. ย If you haven’t read my Week 4 Bathroom post then a here’s a quick version of what happened yesterday. ย On my way to taking my daughter to Preschool, I started having contractions and they weren’t stopping. ย I called my doctor and he told me to go lay down and if they continued to go into the hospital. ย They continued so after my daughter was done with Preschool we picked her up and dropped her off at Daycare and then headed to the hospital. ย I got monitored for an hour or so and was having multiple contractions but nothing was really progressing so they decided to send me home. ย Contractions have come and gone but I guess it’s not time to welcome our new little girl. ย So back to the grind….

If you missed the previous weeks of the progress of both rooms you can catch up here:

I’m proud to say that the nursery is pretty much done. ย I worked hard and got it finished before the 6-week deadline as I wanted to be prepared if the baby was to arrive early. ย (I’m due the day before Thanksgiving.) ย My mom was in town this past weekend so besides finishing the room we got all of the clothes organized. ย My husband grabbed the bins of clothes down from the garage and it was then time to fold and hang clothes in their appropriate sizes. ย I said to my mom after we were finished that baby was aloud to arrive now that I felt organized. ๐Ÿ™‚

So this week I wanted to share the gorgeous art work I received from minted.ย  Their website is very easy to navigate. ย You can search through various categories and narrow down your search in each category. I started by going to minted art —> Children’s Art —> Nursery Art. ย From there you can filter it down even farther by gender, featured, style, shape and color. ย Once you have chosen a piece of art you like then you can choose what kind of frame you like, materials to be used and if you’d like a border included. ย  You then have a beautiful finished product that will be shipped to you in a very secure and safe package at your front door! ย I couldn’t be happier with the product and shipping.

I also loved their art shelves and and I decided to go with the artful shelf which comes in premium wood with a herringbone whitewashed detail. ย I love the herringbone detail to these shelves and they couldn’t have been easier to install! ย You mount a bracket to the wall which has a level in place and then once that is in place all you do is clip the shelves onto the bracket! ย So easy!!

    1. Haha I can’t believe I’m doing two spaces either! It does make me feel like next Spring when I do just one room it will be a piece of cake! Haha

  2. Love your baby’s room! So soft and pretty! I think card 5 is just too cute since you want to use it both as a Christmas card and birth announcement! But put a picture of both girls on it!
