Personalized Coffee Mug with Chalk Ink
Create your own personalized coffee mug with Chalk Couture’s Chalkology Ink. A quick and easy way to create a gift for the ones you love on Valentine’s Day.
2020 is underway and next month we celebrate Valentine’s Day. For me, Valentine’s Day isn’t supposed to be a holiday where you spend thousands of dollars.
The smaller gifts, the ones from the heart mean more. Gifts that are handmade are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Personalized Coffee Mug with Chalk Ink
I have created a quick tutorial on how to use Chalk Couture Chalkology Paste to create your own personalized mug.
Personalized Coffee Mug with Chalk Ink
Create your own personalized coffee mugs with Chalk Couture's Chalkology Ink.
Materials
- Chalk Couture Chalkology Ink
- Chalk Couture Transfer
- Chalk Couture Stir Stick
- Chalk Couture Mini Squeegee
- Blank Coffee Mug
Tools
- Wagner HT400 Heat Gun
Instructions
- Remove transfer from backing and place it on the fuzzing cloth. This allows the transfer to not stick to your surface.
- Place the transfer onto your coffee mug. Smoothing it out so there aren't any bubbles directly on the stencil design.
- Stir the Chalkology Ink to remove any bubbles.
- Take your mini squeegee and add a small amount of Chalkology Ink to your transfer. Scrap the ink onto your transfer evenly. Remove all excess ink and return it to the bottle.
- Peel off the transfer and set aside.
- Grab your Wagner HT400 Heat Gun and turn on the low setting. Slowly go over the design to help it dry. (This is also very important if you have a stencil that will go over the top of a previous design.)
- Once your design is dry set it in the cold oven and set the temp to 350 degrees.
- Let the mugs warm up with the oven and then let it sit there at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Do not remove the mugs as you want them to cool down with the oven.
- After they are done setting in the oven they are ready to use and dishwasher safe!
