The December monthly wrap-up.  Keep up with all the things in my life and what’s hot on the blog!floral watercolor image with text below Monthly Wrap-Up

The holidays are over and I’m finally adjusting back to everyday life.  As much as I love the holidays, my girls and I crave routine!

They are happier when they know what to expect out of their day and so am I.  Plus…Mama needs a break! 🙂

Family

All is well at the Tabone household.  Lucy is back at school and was very excited because 2 new students were joining her class.

Over Christmas we celebrated at my parent’s house, the house I grew up in.  Our last Christmas in that house.

My parents are currently building their forever home on Lake Okoboji.  We also went and toured the construction site!

After our quick trip to Iowa, my sister and I and our 4 kids road tripped to Colorado.  It was smooth sailing on the way there.

We had a great second Christmas with my brother and his wife and all of the grandkids/cousins got to be together! Matching PJs and all!

Goals of 2020

I have chosen 3 words to live by this year.  3 words to focus on and learn more about.

Health   |   Growth   |   Organization

Goal #1 – Health

I know this is everyone’s goal but I’m not going to fully focus on weight loss.  Although, that is definitely a bonus!  I want to focus on my health and listening to my body.

I want to focus on feeding my body with healthy foods.  Putting products on my body that doesn’t have anything harmful in them.  I want to focus on my mental health and meditating.

I want to be a good example for my two daughters.  I want them to grow up with a healthy lifestyle so they can take that into their adulthood.

Goal #2 – Growth

There are so many ways that I want to grow this year.  I want to grow personally by getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things.  I want to grow as a parent, wife, and friend.

I also want this little blog of mine to grow.  I want to really want to connect with you, my readers.  I want to expand who I work with and share products that I truly love with you all.

I want to help you with your DIY and home decor needs.  I want to be there for you if you need someone to talk to or have any questions.

Goal #3 – Organization

The third word I want to focus on this year is organization.  Kids bring lots of “things” into your home and I’m so tired of tripping on them and putting it away for them.

I love the idea of living a minimalist lifestyle.  Although I don’t believe I’d like to do that fully I would love to apply some of those ideas to my home.

I’m reading to a couple of different books on organization and decluttering and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on that journey!

Post Round-Up

December is a busy month for everyone!  With that being said I only got to share one post with you all this past month.

A friend of mine gave me a desk and I’ve been wanting to replace my older daughter’s dresser with a desk for quite some time.  It was the perfect timing to go get it and give it a makeover!

MEET RUTHIE

mother holding baby in the air and going for a kiss

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
