Dining Room Reveal
Our dining room has functioned as a few different rooms since we moved in. We moved from a 1000 square foot apartment to a 1700 square foot townhome. Shortly after we moved to a 2600 square foot home. Needless to say, we didn’t have enough furniture to fill our home. We focused on our upstairs as that was about all we could furnish. We had one table so that went into the kitchen and we did not own a dining room table. So….the dining room was my daughter’s playroom at first! Here is what the dining room looked like before we moved in.
And here is what it looked liked as my daughter’s playroom.
A few of the changes we made right away were paint the walls our favorite color, Requisite Gray by Sherwin-Williams, changed out the light fixture, and took off the outdated, dirty vertical blinds and replaced them with curtains.
I had a bunch of curtains from previous homes but I wanted something that would last a long time all while looking great too! I decided to go with the Essential Linens line in Charcoal with the oil rubbed bronze grommets from Budget Blinds. I love how it compliments our dining room and on Monday I will show you how the same panels look in our living room! You can choose the length of the panels which was great for me because I needed longer ones for my living room than I did for the dining room.
All the small details of this dining room have really made this room complete. Here is a list of projects and tutorials for the dining room so far:
Dining Room Table | Restoration Hardware Chairs | Dining Room Chairs | Hanging Wall Plates | Stemware Storage | Succulent Plant Holder
I’m sure there will be things I will change as I’m constantly changing things but I really love where it has come since we’ve moved in. I love hosting dinner parties and with the table having extenders we can fit up to 12 people! Thank you to Budget Blinds for the beautiful curtain panels that helped complete my dining room! And thanks for stopping by and checking out my dining room reveal and I will see you on Monday as I join other bloggers for a Summer Home Tour.
